Course Description:
There are periods of opportunity, "prime times" during which the brain is particularly efficient at specific types of learning. In the first decade of life, the brain's ability to grow, change and compensate is especially remarkable. We can most effectively impact and influence a child's brain development during the first three years of life. During this time, networks are forming at an astonishing rate - by age three, the weight of a child's brain has almost tripled! The young brain is like a super sponge, absorbing every experience into its neural architecture. During these first three years the brain is storing information and memories that will be the foundation for a lifetime of skills and potential. If this foundation is flawed, it can affect the entire life span of the individual. Early care provides the experiences that have decisive and long lasting effects on the emotional, social, behavioral, intellectual and physical capabilities of the child for the rest of her life. This 120 hour course is NATIONALLY ACCREDITED and requires a State administered examination for certification.  This course is vastly more in-depth than the basic course: Child Care Provider Certification P2P-135.  This course includes role playing, conflict resolution, discipline, dealing with special education children, and lots more to add on to your basic training.  By the end of the course you will be recognized as a professional in the child care industry - a Child Development Associate certification is a professional title and much sought after in the child care industry.  You will be more qualified to begin your own agency or be hired to work in one.  You will also be certified and officially registered as one of our network providers entitling you to exclusive training and continuing education.

The classes are conducted online, as well as, at your facility or ours by our expert and certified staff instructors. In some cases, tuition for the classes can be paid by New York State EIP program grants (our staff will make arrangements for you). The tuition for the other courses are very affordable and usually have easy payment options. We suggest that these costs are paid by the students themselves – no cost should accrue to the sponsor organization.

Your facility can get up and running with just the first course while your staff continues on to the others. In addition, those who are not going to be part of an in-house child care program can go and get employment as child care providers at any day care or after school agency. In fact, we will help place them after completing their first course or help them start their own service.
